W2W FAST 2026: DAY 6 — PEACE

PEACE

Peace is not merely the absence of trouble, but the presence of God’s assurance, order, and rest in every area of life. As we step into a new year, prayer positions us to receive the peace God promises—peace that anchors our hearts, guards our minds, steadies our emotions, and strengthens our bodies.

In praying for peace, we are choosing to begin the year from a place of rest rather than striving, confidence rather than anxiety, and trust rather than fear. This peace enables us to face the year ahead with clarity, calm, and faith, knowing that God is present in all that concerns us.

PRAYER POINTS FOR PEACE

  1. Pray for peace and rest in God from the assurance of His Word, praying to be anchored in God’s promises and resting fully in what He has spoken.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” — Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace in our minds, praying for freedom from anxious thoughts, mental noise, and inner unrest.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace in our hearts and emotions, praying for emotional stability, healing, and calm in every season.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” — John 14:27 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace in our bodies, praying for physical rest, strength, and wholeness.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” — 3 John 1:2 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace that brings wholesomeness and calm for the year ahead, praying for a settled spirit that enables you to take on the year prayerfully and purposefully.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace amidst all that may be, praying for peace that remains steady regardless of circumstances.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33 (KJV)

  1. Pray for peace that governs our steps and decisions, praying that peace becomes a guiding force in choices and direction throughout the year.

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” — Colossians 3:15 (KJV)

REFLECTION

  • Where do you need God’s peace to settle in your life right now, your mind, emotions, body or decisions?
  • What would it look like for peace to become your guide this year?

This week, choose rest over striving and allow the peace of God to rule in every area of your life
